Services

Mobile Notary Work
A notary public is an individual commissioned by the Secretary of State to perform notarial acts. Notarial acts performed under the laws of North Dakota include:
Taking an acknowledgement; Administering an oath or affirmation; Taking a verification or oath or affirmation; Witnessing or attesting a signature; Certifying or attesting a copy; and Noting a protest of a negotiable instrument. A notary public is considered a "public ministerial officer," an impartial agent of the state commissioned to witness notarial writings and signatures.
Loan Signings
As a Notary Signing Agent, I am an independent contractor hired by lenders, title/escrow companies, and signing services to assist their clients in the final step of the loan process. My responsibilities may include printing documents, meeting the signer, notarizing their signature, verifying that all documents have been properly signed, initialed, and immediately returned to escrow. These services are vital to ensure that the customer's information is secure, and that mortgage fraud is prevented.
Coaching Notaries
In addition to providing notary and loan signing services, I am also a loan signing coach. I am available to train new signing agents in Cass County. Coaching includes: ~ Proper notarization of documents ~ Printing loan packages ~ Recommendations for memberships to notary associations, notary listing sites and notary platforms ~ How to record notarial acts in a journal ~ Marketing notary services to the public and to companies ~ Providing marketing samples ~ Networking opportunities ~ Advise as to purchasing equipment and supplies such as printers, scanners, journals, and paper

Answers To Frequent Questions

What is a mobile notary?
A mobile notary is simply an individual who travels to clients to perform notarization of legal documents. Individuals hiring mobile notaries do so for convenience, as they may be unable to meet with a notary during normal business hours.
What is a Notary Signing Agent/Loan Signing Agent?
A Notary Signing Agent (NSA) may also be known as a Loan Signing Agent. A Notary Signing Agent is a commissioned notary who has experience and training in the presentation of legal documents relating to real estate transactions. The NSA meets with clients to assist in signing and notarizing lender and escrow documents in connection with real estate purchases, refinances and/or HELOCs.
Where does a mobile notary travel?
A mobile notary can decide the distance they wish to travel. They meet clients in offices, private residences, assisted living facilities, hospitals, coffee shops, restaurants, and parking lots. Wherever the individual signing the documents would like to meet. Fees are negotiated and agreed upon at the time the appointment is scheduled.
How many signings does a Notary Signing Agent (NSA) do in a day?
An experienced NSA can sign as many, or as few, signings in a day as they wish and as the current market has to offer. I have completed 8 signings in a day, over the course of a 12-hour period. NSAs do not only meet with clients but they receive loan documents electronically which must be printed and reviewed prior to meeting with clients. Each loan package must be checked multiple times for completeness and to verify all signatures and initials have been obtained prior to sending the package back to escrow.
